Dear all,

I am in the process of trying to compile a LaTeX document. I have a separate .bib file and am using BiBTeX. I had put in 8 figures, generally using the [htbp] placement option, and these compiled fine.

However when trying to compile and insert a 9th figure using the command:
\begin ...

This has now been solved by deleting spaces from the names of my figure files. Please forgive my ignorance.

I have been trying to install new packages via the MiKTeX Package Manager. When I attempt to install the cite package I get the following error message.
No data,

Data: get host by name failed in tcp_connect()
Does anyone have any idea on how to get round this? I believe it may be a ...

How does one access their package manager? I'm using protext and miktex

Thanks for the reply. I tried using the package tocbibind but got the error message: ! LaTeX Error: File `tocbibind.sty' not found.

Do you know where I can install the tocbibind package from? Is there a website where it be installed from?

this week I have started using LaTeX for the first time. I have created a bibliography using BibTeX. To get the bibliography into the contents page, I used this command.
\addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{Bibliography}
However the page number for the bibliography section does not always ...
