I think I installed winfonts correctly. I got squares when I use "Trebuchet." But if I use "Georgia and Franklin Gothic," it works.

But "Trebuchet" worked with my Windows 7 Starter before. Is there something new with "Trebuchet" in Windows 8? Why is it not working with LaTeX?

Now, I am using Windows 8, and I tried to install the same Winfonts I used before. But I failed. What I see in the pdf output are squares...

Hello. I actually followed the steps you gave, and created the following file using TeXnicCenter and compiled using PDFLaTeX.
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{winfonts}
\fontfamily{trebuchet}\selectfont

\begin{document}
abcdefg
\end{document}
But the PDF file does not ...
