Winfonts on Windows 8

Post by stallion_h1 »

Hi again.

I asked this before, and it was resolved. I was using Windows 7 Starter then.

Now, I am using Windows 8, and I tried to install the same Winfonts I used before. But I failed. What I see in the pdf output are squares...

I followed what's instructed here...

https://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/winfonts?lang=en

But I doubt if I did the following instruction right, how will I do it?

"Append to this file the line:

map +winfonts_ttf2tfm.map
"

Am I missing something? Is there something wrong?

I think I installed winfonts correctly. I got squares when I use "Trebuchet." But if I use "Georgia and Franklin Gothic," it works.

But "Trebuchet" worked with my Windows 7 Starter before. Is there something new with "Trebuchet" in Windows 8? Why is it not working with LaTeX?

Please help me, I need to use Trebuchet. Thank you.
