Thanks Stefan. I removed \\ and added the closing bracket. Then, the equation looks like the one attached. Also, the two equations below this one got numbered as (18) and (19). Is there anything wrong with my corrections?

-\frac{A_0}{2}g_z + \sum_{k=-N}^N [-\frac{g_z}{2} - \frac ...

Re: Equation numbers running out of the page
Thanks Stefan! The source code is:
\begin{eqnarray}
-\frac{A_0}{2}g_z + \sum_{k=-N}^N [-\frac{g_z}{2} - \frac{(\bar z_{0} + z_q)(2 \pi k f_0 )^2}{2} ] (A_k - j B_k) e^{2\pi jkf_0 t} \label{equation18} \nonumber \\
= \frac{a_0}{2} + \frac{1}{2} \sum_{k=-N}^N (a_k - jb_k) e^{2\pi jkf_0 t

Re: Equation numbers running out of the page
Thanks for the reply. I tried to reduce the font size already. Nothing changes.
For problem2, is there a way to move the (18) to the right?

Equation numbers running out of the page
Hello, some of my equations are so long that when latex puts the equation numbers, the numbers are either partially seen or moved to the next line (please refer to the attachments). Any solution to fix these two problems are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How to set default pdf viewer?
Hello. I am using TeXShop to create latex documents on the Mac. In the past, after I hit the typeset button, a pdf file was generated and Preview (an utility came with Mac OS/X) was used by the system to display the pdf file. Recently, instead of using Preview to display the pdf file, the system ...

Author names are missing
Hello. I am using latex and bibtex on the Mac. I noticed that sometimes when papers of the same author are being cited, sometimes the author-list becomes --. For example:

Graphs got rotated from Excel (Mac ver) to Latex
Hello. I created a few graphs using the Mac verion of EXCEL. I saved them as .eps files. When I included them in a latex document, they got rotated by 90 degrees. I used the angle command to return them to the original orientation. However, this causes a large blank margin on the left of the graphs ...

Letters became larger when eps file is included as Latex doc
If I understand you correctly, the problem can be related to either Illustrator or Latex. Have you looked at the .eps without including it in a Latex document? And have you set Illustrator to embed the font you use?

Letters became larger when eps file is included as Latex doc
Hello. I used Adobe Illustrator 10 (Windows version) to create a flowchart. All the letters are within the boxes (flowchart symbols). When I double clicked the file under Mac OS, it was opened as a pdf file under Preview. The flowchart looked fine. However, when I included the eps file as a Latex ...
