I would like to install a character set for astronomical symbols (e.g., \Sun = a circle with a dot in the middle, \Jupiter = the fancy 24 ligature, etc.). Now, I have found and installed mathabx and while they're OK (they're bit-maps, a bit blurry ...

Just introducing myself before I post my first question to the community. I'm a long-time LaTeX user, largely self-taught learning new features when I need them. I therefore have considerable depth in some areas, astonishing shallowness in others! I'm probably describing many users!
