Is it possible to set a directory into which LyX will place all its backup files (a la Vim)? If so, how can it be done?
Thanks,
Steve

Image "Edit externally" not working in 2.3
Hi--
I recently upgraded to LyX 2.3.1-1 on Windows 10 and now find that when I right-click a PNG image in LyX and choose "Edit externally...", nothing happens. I do have a system-wide default in place (paint.net) that works fine when I double-click a PNG file in Explorer. I looked around in the ...

Multiple toolbar buttons calling inset-insert
Hi--
I've made a toolbar button to insert an hrule which (of course) calls "inset-insert line rule ...". I'd like to have one that inserts a quad, but as far as I know, the icon image must be named "inset-insert". Is that correct? Is there any way around it?
Thanks,
Steve
