Ok, I figured out myself.
Original size: 4800 x 3600 pixcels
Target size: 16cm x 12cm for printing on 300dpi.
Target size in inches: 6.3'' x 4.7''
Reduced file size without losing quality should be: (6.3 x 300) x (4.7 x 300) pixels = 1890 x 1410 pixels
So it reduces size by factor of about 6.5 ...

How to highlight header using fancyhdr package.
Hi all, I'm using the fancyhdr package to get headers on each page of my document. I've successfully created the headers but I am unable to highlight the headers. I want to highlight the headers as shown in attached picture or on second page of this pdf file:
