Well, I solved it. Thanks to everybody who tried to find a solution. Here is what I did.


Completely uninstall MacTex 2001
Repair permissions.
Fresh Install.
Repair permissions, then

call
updmap-sys --enable Map=foo.map
for each map file. (Or MixedMap instead of Map, if your font has ...

It is not only considered as crossposting, it is a crossposting. And it does not depend on the language. The code matter was a little fault of mine. Mixed up with another topic.
OK. So my fault with crossposting. Honestly I didn't expect the majority of users to visit other, in this case German ...

Have you tried updmap without the -sys?

Does setting the right encoding with the fontenc package make a difference?
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I also did it without -sys. Unfortunatly it makes no difference.
And I haven't changed anything in the .tex source code because it is working with MacTex ...

a few days ago I installed MacTex 2011 allongside with my old MacTex 2010 installation. Luckily I kept the old one. The 2011 version does not access my additional fonts in texmf-local. I already did texhash, updmap-sys, updmap-sys --enable etc. Nothing has changed. The corresponding MAPs are ...
