Re: new instance with "inverse search" in Texmaker 1.8

I thought it is a firewall first, but it is not.

Inverse search works correctly only if the file where it needs to go is already open in one of the tabs.
Otherwise it for some reason launches a new instance, instead of opening it in a new tab.
Of course the master document is not defined there, you ...

new instance with "inverse search" in Texmaker 1.8

Texmaker 1.8 claims:
A new instance of texmaker will no more be opened while using "inverse search" (the program can only be started once per user).

The future of TeXnicCenter

Ok, things start to converge now :)
There you misunderstood me: If someone would send a patch (or even better: fix the problem directly in the TeXnicCenter CVS hosted by sourceforge) I would release a new version.

Re: The future of TeXnicCenter

Yeah, MFC is no fun anymore, as it was 10 years ago.

This is quite strange that nobody wants to pick up such a successful project as this. There are a few business models for open source software development flying around. Ads/banners on the web site (I know it is evil, but still), donations may ...

Re: The future of TeXnicCenter

Why not to support the current TeXnicCenter, while finding the best ways to rewrite it?!
It is a common and well appreciated way of development.

There is a whole bunch of bugs floating around, waiting for a quick fix. Instead of proposing the solutions here in the forum (which is definitely ...
