thx for "optimizing" my post
i have reinstalled miktex and now it works. i think it has something to do with the option to install missing packages on-the-fly. now i chose Yes and this probably fixed it.

i am trying to include a .jpg into my work but as soon as i use \usepackage{grahpicx} it wont compile anymore. its the same with the graphics package...
it always says 0 Errors, 0 Warnings and 0 Pages :/
