I've tried several different online servers and used ports 20 for FTP servers and 80 for HTTP servers but it still doesn't work.
When I open the package servers in my browser, I can navigate through the packages though.
This is very frustrating.
Is there really no one with similar issues?

For some week now I'm experiencing problems when I want to install new packages in MikTeX 2.8. The "package installation on the fly" gives me an the following error:
"pdflatex.exe: Data: connect failed in tcp_connect()"
The package updater also gives an HTTP error regardless the package I try ...

You could use the slashbox package for this.
I already explored the slashbox package but it doesn't fulfill my specific needs. I want two diagonal lines in a cell from opposite sides without any text involved. slashbox only allows 1 diagonal and produces an ugly result when there isn't any text ...

Hey all,
I want to cross out a specific table cell with 2 diagonal lines: one line from the topleft to the bottomright corner of the cell and one from the bottomleft to the topright corner of the table cell.
And I want this 'crossing' only for one specific cell, not for the whole table...
Help is ...
