After installing and reinstalling everything, I figured it out. I evidently changed a section in such a way that LyX didn't like. (I went back and removed each individual section I had edited since a previous save that worked. Took a while, but now it works...)

Export to PDF, PDF viewer not working
Up until yesterday, I was able to export to PDF (pdflatex) and use the previewer (pdflatex) in LyX 1.6.9. Now I'm not able to export or preview the PDF, and I don't get an error message...in short, nothing happens. (The appropriate action is clicked and then nothing happens.) To my knowledge ...

I would like to be able to link text in one area of my document to text in another area, similar to a table of contents. (This would be something like a miniature table of contents in each section.)
