Dear LaTex friends,
I am trying to prepare an exam for my students in LaTex in multiple-choice (MC) format. I would like to take the MC answer sheet and scan it. Then I would like to automatically analyze and grade it.
Does anyone know a good Latex class and software for teachers/instructors that would allow me to do that?
I have about 300 students and grading each and one of them manually would cost me a lot of time, and there is a risk of mistakes.

Hi Matthias! For what you need, the exsheets or exam class in LaTeX works well to format MC exams, and for scanning and automatic grading, check out Auto Multiple Choice (AMC). It integrates nicely with LaTeX, scans answer sheets, and grades them automatically—perfect for large groups like yours. Definitely worth a try!
