chapter numbering

Post by de maria »

Hi!

My thesis must be assembled with two distinct parts. My idea is to have possibly a unique table of contents, then the two parts each one with the abstract, the chapters, the possible appendices and the bibliography.

So the in the main tex there is \part{First Part} then \input{...} for all the first part files, bibliography included. I do the same for the Second Part, but while the chapters of the first part are numbered, instead those ones of the second part are not.
I guess is something that depends on the PhdThesis.cls (that I attach just in case) instructions but I don't know how to operate.

Can anybody suggest something, also a different path?

Many thanks in advance,
Mik
