Graphics, Figures & Tables ⇒ Figure positioning in Lyx

Hi,

I am a newcomer to LyX, and having some trouble with figure positioning.
I'm trying to insert a firuge to a figure float, but LyX positions it on the left; I would like to center the figure inside the float box.. how can I control this?

Hi Asaf,

welcome to the board!
You could click the figure inside the float box, click on the paragraph settings button and choose the alignment "Center".

I see no "alignment" field on the settings, though.. Am I missing something?..

Hi Asaf,

instead of the button you could use the main menu, just to ensure that we are speaking of the same settings.
In the main menu click Edit, then Paragraph Settings..., in the following dialog you would find the alignment fields on its right side, at least in my version of LyX, 1.6.2.
