i'm a rather long-time user of latex (since the 1980s),
and i maintain a faq for tex users (which is largely
latex-focused). i'm also a ctan manager.
i joined with several ideas in mind
(a) solutions to problems that i'm trying to deal with
in the faq.
(b) topics that might be useful for the faq.
(c) seeing how people see the way forward, for them.
i contribute a lot to comp.text.tex, already, so may
not spend a lot of time contributing here, unless i
find myself hooked on an alternative mechanism...

What a delight to see a well known name of the TeX scene here in this community. Even if they will be rare we are looking forward to your proficient contributions.
Best regards and welcome to the board
