make an uneditable pdf ??

Post by dawanaise »

hello gentlemen

I have just discovered that one is able to edit a pdf, with some softwares like pdf editor and so on.
Of course, this is lame, at least for me; so I want to know how to make full secure pdf, ie an uneditable pdf.

are the ps documents also editable ?

what about the dvi ?

i use miktex and ledtex by the way

You'll need to do this after making the PDF with TeX (whatever route you take). The free PDFTK Builder can convert a normal PDF into a locked one, for example.

The pdftek team removed encryption a long time ago from the engine. The maintenance was too complex, I think. Overall, dedicated tools for dedicated jobs works for most people.
