### No numbering for equations

Hello everyone

I am trying to figure out how to delete the automatic numbers - (1), (2)... - that appear next to my equations. I read somewhere I should use \begin{align*}$$...$$\end{align*} instead of $$...$$, but that ruins my fractions.
This is what I put in LaTeX:
We krijgen voor het SIR-model de volgende set differentiaalvergelijkingen: \begin{equation}    \frac{dS(t)}{dt} = -\beta.(\frac{S(t)}{P}).I(t) + \alpha R(t) + \mu (P-S(t))\end{equation}\begin{equation}    \frac{dI(t)}{dt} = \beta.(\frac{S(t)}{P}).I(t) - \gamma I(t) - \mu I(t)\end{equation}\begin{equation}    \frac{dR(t)}{dt} = \gamma.I(t) - \alpha R(t) - \mu R(t)\end{equation}

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would use gather.
\documentclass{article}\usepackage{mathtools}\begin{document}\begin{gather*}    \frac{dS(t)}{dt} = -\beta.(\frac{S(t)}{P}).I(t) + \alpha R(t) + \mu (P-S(t))\\    \frac{dI(t)}{dt} = \beta.(\frac{S(t)}{P}).I(t) - \gamma I(t) - \mu I(t)\\    \frac{dR(t)}{dt} = \gamma.I(t) - \alpha R(t) - \mu R(t)\end{gather*}\end{document}
