Formatting institution name as an author using bst

Postby jjmm » Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:37 am

Hi,

I am trying to format an institution name as an author using bst file. This is what I got:

ECB. (2009), ECB Monthly Bulletin, September, European Central Bank.

"ECB" is the name of the author, an institute. How could I get rid of the dot after "ECB"? What I would like to produce is

ECB (2009), ECB Monthly Bulletin, September, European Central Bank.

My bib item:
@book{ecb09_monthly_bul,
author = {{ECB}},
title = {ECB Monthly Bulletin, September},
publisher = {{European Central Bank}},
year = 2009,
volume = ,
series = ,
address = {},
edition = ,
month = 9,
note = {September},
isbn = {}
}

There is a related post here
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/162659/formatting-of-institution-as-author-with-natbib-and-numbered-references

but is there any easier way to do it without natbib, say, by modifying the bst file?

Thanks!!

Changing a copy of the bst file will probably remove the dot for all book entries. We don't know which bst file you are using.

Natbib takes care of citations. It doesn't really change the bibliography.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
