Customizing Chapter in Book Class

Post by Risky Mahaputra »

Dear all,

I have a problem in customizing Chapter. Please see my description bellow, this is the first page of a Chapter. How I can customizing the x spacing value?
Currently I can customizing y spacing and z spacing (in fncychapter package).

---------------------------------------(header)
|
x spacing
|
Chapter 1 (chapter number)
|
y spacing
|
CHAPTER NAME
|
z spacing
|
Chapter paragraph start here.........................
................................................................
------------------------------------------(footer)

Thanks and regard,
Risky Mp

Customizing Chapter in Book Class

The titlesec could help in this case. It lets you customize headings in many ways. The package also offers to declare page styles (in my opinion much easier and more variable than fancyhdr).

Best regards and welcome to the board
