View Corrections instantly in PDF

Post by suhyoungchoi »

Is there a way to view your corrections quickly in the PDF output without explicitly searching for them? :geek:

Could people introduce the linking between the location on the source file and the PDF output? This would almost have WYSIWYG effect. It would be very convenient.

Yes, it's called synctex, but how you use it depends on your editor. For example, if you're using TeXworks this page shows you how to enable synctex with LaTeXmk and this page shows you how to enable synctex with arara. Then you just need to position your mouse over the edit you've made in TeXworks, popup the context menu, and select "Jump to PDF". If you're using something other than TeXworks, you'll need to give us more information.
