Explicit "and" instead of "&" in textual Citations

Post by lkirkland »

I'm using the natbib package with the newapa bibliography style. I use the \citet command for textual citations when the citation occurs as part of a sentence. I use the \citep command for parenthetical citations when the citation appears at the end of a sentence or paragraph. When using the newapa bibliography style, an ampersand (&) symbol is used between author names in all citations and the bibliography. I'd like to use the word "and" between authors only when using the \citet command. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance for any help!
