Lyx 1.5.6 on Vista: Document Classes unavailable

Post by edi »

I have Lyx 1.5.6 on Vista. I've installed all packages and all classes as far as I know. However, I still see a lot of classes unavailable in the "Document ==> Settings ==> Doc. class" settings.

I have reconfigured Lyx a million times, I've changed the Path in Lyx, I have pretty much followed the instructions posted here:

http://n2.nabble.com/%22Document-Class- ... ml#a480879

with exception of running this command:

<path to LyX>\bin\python <path to LyX>\Resources\configure.py

because things don't match right in Vista, even though I found the files Python and configure.py.

So no matter what I've done, I've run into a wall. Any help at this point would be appreciated. By the way, I'm running into the same problem with my Linux box, but Windows is my priority right now.

Thanks!
