how to modify an exsisting template?

Post by lyxrocks »

I really love the elsarticle.lyx template, but I want to modify some of its settings.

1, I want to get rid of the lines above and below the abstract.

2, I want to get rid of the texts and date on the bottom of the first page

Preprint submitted to Example: Nuclear Physics B August 13, 2012

I included the lyx file and the compiled pdf file for clarity.

thanks in advance!

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

also, how to add my own format to an existing template?

for example, a format called "Apples" where one would draw an apple, i want apples to be numerated, so "Apples 1" "Apples 2" etc, and I want these "Apples" to be in my ToC too.
