Now having troubles with floating tables coming up in odd places. I have most of the tables in 'rotate sideways' which turns off the option of 'here definitely' under settings. Also, a few times 'new page' is being ignored; running pages together.

Hi Hatchet,

perhaps load the placeins package in your document preamble and limit the floating of tables by inserting the command
