Hi All,
I am using the automatically generated bibliography, and alter my references externally, however the order of the references are not correct e.g. the first referenced material should be listed first in the generated references and also show [1] in the citation.
I tried placing them in alpabetical order in the external document but the problem persists.
Any suggestions? I am using Lyx 2.03.

Referencing and citation
I use an external (BibTeX) bibliography also. If I right-click on the 'BibTeX generated bibliography' in LyX, and pick the Settings option, then a dialog box appears. Towards the bottom there is a drop-down box labelled 'Style'. I believe (but am not certain) that this is how you control the order of your references.
Also you might want to take a look at:

Re: Referencing and citation
Hi Paul,
Thanks. That works, I just changed to using an IEEE style for instance and all my references were cited in order as well as numbered correctly.
Regards.
