I'm trying to use Author-Year citations instead of the numerical one. However, if I change the settings on Document>Settings>Bibliography from Default to Natbib Author-Year and convert it to .pdf in Lyx, every citation turns into (author?) [1]. The numerical reference stays but Lyx seems not to find corresponding author names. The bibliography appears just fine.
I'm rather new to Lyx and don't know much about Latex, so I assume that I just overlooked some parameters, but I can't find what this could be.
Your help is very much appreciated!

I'm using with lyx the elsevier class document, but i need vancouver style (in the reference section: author, date, etc...).
I create with makebst a file vanc2.bst (in attachment).
If i use this style i can compile the file, but i reveive the following error: (author?) [1].
