General ⇒ Minimum Requirements to run LaTeX smoothly

I'm thinking of getting a netbook or smaller laptop so I can carry it around and work on LaTeX whenever I can. So, I'm wondering what would be a good amount of RAM/processing power/etc for LaTeX to run smoothly. Thanks!

I'm no computer expert, but I find it hard to believe that LaTeX requires more than an average computer. I believe there are even apps that run LaTeX on smartphones and when I Google your problem I find nothing. So I don't think you have to worry too much about that
