Page Layout ⇒ llncs | Title Suppressed Due to Excessive Length

I'm working with \documentclass[runningheads,a4paper]{llncs}

My title is too long to appear in the header of each page.

Instead of the title I get this message: "Title Suppressed Due to Excessive Length".

How can I create an alternative (and short) title that fits the space?

Section 5 in the manual of the »llncs2e« bundle suggests to use the \titlerunning command [1]. I recommend to take a close look at the »llncs2e.zip« file.
