LyX ⇒ Lyx Layout for .cls files

Hello All,

The company I work for has its own latex templates in the form of .cls files which they use for technical reports/papers and presentation slides.

I want to create LyX layouts based on those .cls files? Most of the websites I have checked online require a .sty file which I do not have.

Is it possible to get a lyx layout file with just .cls files? If so, any tips on how I could do that would be most appreciated.
