Not as a .rar, I'm afraid. Please use a standard compression format: zip or gz.

Where is the problem with RAR archives?

After playing with your example a little bit I found that the issue might be related to the chapterbib2 package. If you comment that line in the preamble the refs show at the end of the document and look OK.

Sorry, this somewhat dropped off my "radar". There seem to be a lot of minor issues with your source files. I get errors when I try to compile even before any output issues. That said, I've not tried achemso with chapterbib2, and so I can believe this may be an issue. I'll see if I can construct something minimal for testing.

Okay, I've attached a small set of test files. For me, the procedure:
  • Run LaTeX on test.tex
  • Run BibTeX on test1.aux
  • Run BibTeX on test2.aux
  • Run LaTeX on test.tex
  • Run LateX on test.tex
gives a correctly formatted result. Please modify the test files to get the failing behaviour and upload the result (or list the changes if they are simple).
