I will discuss this with our administrator. With regard to the fact that TeXworks will be part of the two most common LaTeX distributions there will be a certain demand on such a forum.frabjous wrote:[...] BTW, Would it be appropriate to have a TeXworks subforum here? I've just found out that Texworks actually has kind of "master document" feature. All one has to do is to put in sub-document, at its beginning, the following line:frabjous wrote:

Code: Select all
% !TeX root = path/main_file.tex

EDIT: BTW, after working with Texworks couple of days, I really miss shortcuts for creating sectioning of existing text and formatting, like in Kile: you select text, press Ctrl+1 and you get selected text as chapter (Ctrl+1 being an example), or Ctrl+b and you get \textbf{} etc. No obvious way to do this in Texworks. And no shortcut does work in Texworks when touching a word :/ So, conclusion: Texworks is great for writing from scratch, but not so great for editing existing/imported document.

I have created a dedicated subforum for TeXworks.frabjous wrote:BTW, Would it be appropriate to have a TeXworks subforum here? I mean, if "WinShell" and "Scientific Author" get their own forums, surely TeXworks should make the cut....?
