There seems to be an error while loading the babel package. Try loading only this package, without anything else:
The \bbl@patterns command that is missing is new in babel 3.8l, but you've got this version, so it should not make problems.

perhaps the suggestion that localghost gave in this other thread about rebuilding the format files can be helpful (obviously, changing "Danish" for "Spanish").

That's it. It worked. I had to rebuilding the format files. Thank you very much for everybody!!
