I guess it was me when I saw that it has been solved. That was before the additional question came. When I read topics that are clearly solved I set the checkmark sometimes myself so the users see there's no open issue left.

But yes, a new topic for a new question would be much better than a follow-up question on a second page of a topic that started with a different question first. Hard to see the new thing. We got space for millions of topics.
