Hi,

you could redefine those commands:

\renewcommand*\figurename{\textsc{Figure}}
\renewcommand*\tablename{\textsc{Table}}
But If you are using babel, it should be different.

Using the caption package, you can also customize the label, which is supposed to be "Figure" or "Table".

Code: Select all

\usepackage[font=small,labelfont=sc]{caption}
Other capabilities of this package are described in its documentation.
