PDF preview not working on upgrade to 2.0.4

Post by Hiram »

I'm not sure what's going on here. I don't have a Lyx -> PDF (pdflatex). I have latex (pdflatex) -> PDF (pdflatex) as pdflatex $$i
Yeah, that's what I have - I'm pretty sure that's all I need.

I tried running pdflatex from the terminal, on the same file, and got a segmentation fault, which terminated the process. I'm thinking that's the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Should I report this as a bug to the TeXLive users? Here's the report:

Segmentation fault
Perhaps try reinstalling TexLive? Unless you can produce a backtrace, I don't think a segmentation fault would be useful. If you can reproduce it (meaning even after a reinstall), then that might be useful.

...and I have the same problem after reinstalling TexLive, by deleting the directories and re-downloading the MacTeX installer. Though I didn't completely uninstall Ghostscript (is there an easy way to re-install this?). What to do now?

I've got a Time Machine backup from a week ago, so I might just restore to that. It's kind of annoying.

I don't know.

I bet. Sorry that we couldn't figure it out.
