Yessss, I finally succeeded. I created my ps file using dvips. Subsequently I converted the ps-file to pdf using GSView
with the following settings:
PDFSETTINGS /printer
CompatibilityLevel 1.3
EmbedAllFonts true
SubsetFonts true
MaxSubsetPct 100
