Presentations and Posters ⇒ Converting the paper size to letter size 8.5 by 11 inches

Hi There:
I am using Jacobs Landscape Poster template and I tried so many ways to convert the size of this poster to a letter size (8.5 by 11 inches) for my test prints. The original size is 48 by 36. I followed the steps of a previous topic "Changing the size to 36 by 24" and many other solutions online but none of them seems to work!
Can anyone help? Thanks.

Let your printer do the job, the template is horrible and everything is hard coded.

Let's say I am sending the poster to a committee for decision. They receive 200 such posters and will just print it out. Mine automatically prints on a legal page with lots of space around! You know what I'm talking about now?

It seems you have to prepare two versions now, one for small printing, and one for the real posters. You have to carefully adjust the values.

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read QUESTIONS, try to understand and then answer if you know the answer. I mean I want to do it with Latex and what you are saying is to print it out. I know how to print. I am asking how to do it with latex....seems there is no way then!

You have to prepare two versions with LaTeX, a small one and a big one. The poster is hard coded.
