Strange idea perhaps: you want to have Excel tables in a LaTeX document, so you could export from Excel as PDF files, and include the PDF images in the LaTeX document.

A simple Problem with an Excel-like table
I had the same idea, but then thought about the different fonts.
Not really an issue, you can use standard computer modern (or rather Latin Modern) within Excel, or use Calibri or Cambria within LaTeX. Though you have to use XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX, which is just a small change.
For a thesis, meaning just once or twice, going through that trouble seems alright, but if you face that on a aily/monthly/weekly basis, you will get from polishing tabular material.

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
Re: A simple Problem with an Excel-like table
I also had the idea of importing an Excel table into a LaTeX document before. But I prefer to make the full table in LaTeX instead. And since I don't have to make that kind of table frequently, it's okay to do these tables that way.
Anyway, I think I'll stay with centered numbers, instead of numbers aligned to their comma. The final output is still very nice.
