Lyx/XelaTeX typesetting ellipsis wrong
The proper way to indicate gaps in a (quoted) text is with the ellipsis character, a single codepoint that prints three periods: "…" . This is the correct way, rather than using three periods: "..." . Notice how they look different here.
When I have a document in Lyx, and run it through XeLaTeX, the ellipsis comes out raised to the height of a dash, and shifted slightly right to collide with the next character after the space. This is obviously incorrect. Since it isn't the font itself, I'm assuming it's something wrong with the rendering engine, but not sure where the problem lies.
Can you friendly people please see if you encounter the same problem? Lyx, using Linux Libertine and XeLaTeX, and see if the ellipsis is rendered incorrectly.
Thanks,
EE
