Using LyX V 2.0.6, Installed on Mint 16.
The view button (CTRL+R) does not appear to do anything. It used to make a PDF on a previous version.
Help?

In Tools > Preferences > File Formats try setting the viewer to a different PDF viewer for PDF (pdflatex) or whichever format you're viewing.
