PDF Output not opened in Adobe Reader

Post by thorpn »

I am using TeXnicCenter (TXC) and all of a sudden I cannot open my PDF output from inside TXC. The output is created fine and without errors, I can open it manually simply by double clicking on it in the folder, but I can't open it from within TXC which is really annoying.

I get the following error.
[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][fileopen("%bm-p...
cannot execute the command
Does any one have a clue as to what could be going on or suggestions on how to fix it ?

PDF Output not opened in Adobe Reader

This error message has often been discussed already. It can be caused by an Adobe Reader update or just the wrong reader settings in TeXnicCenter. Have a look at
in the forum search and try the solutions there. Some topics contain Adobe Reader settings. Another possible approach would be to use for example Sumatra PDF as reader, which has several advantages (doesn't lock open files, SyncTeX support).
