Text Formatting ⇒ savetrees | Enumerated Lists not working anymore

When I tried to use {enumerate}, it gave me an error, so I tried taking off the savetrees package, which worked afterwards. Does anybody know how to make it work even with that package?

In order to give an adequate problem description and to prevent others from guesswork and random shots please prepare a self-contained and minimal example along with the exact error message from the log file (*.log).

However, reading the savetrees manual would be good starting point.
