First, I'm using Lyx 2.0 and a variant of the "article" class specific to my institution (writing thesis). I have been trying to combine cross-references much the same way that I can citations. I don't quite remember exactly how I did the latter, but it involved inserting a little script somewhere in the settings, not ERT. When referring to a group of equations or figures by their labels, instead of compiling as "Eqs. 1,2,3", I want it to be "Eqs. 1-3" or, likewise, "Figs. 1-3". I would rather not change how I refer to these things in the text, as referring in groups works fine. Does anyone know a quick fix for this? Thanks.
Also, this is my first real experience with LyX/LaTeX, so I'm not really familiar with the ins and outs of LaTeX scriptig. I'm not sure if I'll use it again in the near future, so I'd like to keep custom programming to a minimum if possible.

Re: Lyx: Combine cross references (NOT citations), 1,2,3 ->
Hi ClintonC,
Welcome to the LaTeX Community!
I know of no possibility to do that in LyX and I can't imagine there is one. As far as i know there is no solution that wouldn't involve at least some programming.
