One class in another

Post by Ashiataka »

I'm trying to put together one document which contains lots of different types of information. Some of it should read like a book, some of it like a screenplay and some pages should be letters.

Is there a way of doing this with Latex? I've tried to use the \include{file} command but I can't put a letter into a book.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

And: Currently, Packt sells ebooks for $4.99 each if you buy 5 of their over 1000 ebooks. If you choose only a single one, $9.99. How about combining 3 LaTeX books with Python, gnuplot, mathplotlib, Matlab, ChatGPT or other AI books? Epub and PDF. Bundle (3 books, add more for higher discount): https://packt.link/MDH5p

You could first produce pdf files each based on the desired class, then you can include those pdf files within a different main LaTeX document. The main document should load the pdfpages package, then you could use the command \includepdf for including the subdocuments.
