Get rid of colored Cross References

Post by thorpn »

My friend is handing in her thesis tomorrow and she needs her cross references to not be colored. However we do not know how to stop this! :)

Any suggestions would be appreciated, we know there is not a lot of info to go on so perhaps suggestions as to how it was done in the first place would work as well :)

Get rid of colored Cross References

Post by localghost »

One golden rule when writing with LaTeX is to use only packages (and third party code) from which you know what they do. And it seems that your friend does not know the purpose of the hyperref package and its colorlinks option. Tell her to drop the package completely and all references will appear as usual.

Best regards and welcome to the board

Get rid of colored Cross References

Post by Stefan Kottwitz »

Hi thorpn,

welcome to the board!

Just in the case that hyperref would really be needed, or if the document would not work without, one could use the hidelinks option instead of colorlinks:

Code: Select all

\usepackage[hidelinks]{hyperref}
I'm sure Thorsten would suggest the same, if you would write that hyperref is needed - I already mention it just for helping to speed it up, as the thesis has to be handed in tomorrow.

Thanks to you guys for the help. She tried removing colorlinks and that did the trick! :)

Thank you all :)
