I am having trouble getting citations to work correctly in LyX. The exact same preamble works when I copy the document to TeXworks, but I would like to get it working in LyX if possible. I use the following preamble

\usepackage[style=chicago-notes,autocite=footnote,babel=hyphen,natbib=true]{biblatex}
\bibliography{references}
\renewcommand{\citep}{\footcite}
I get footnotes - however, these footnotes simply display the citation key, rather than the full information, as if it is not reading the information from the bib file. I also include a
\printbibliography at the end, but it doesn't show one. I would appreciate some help in addressing this problem.
