Can anyone tell me where I can link to i order to get the proper interactive reference to the article class?
A package, say hyperref, is linked to like this: hyperref.
Thank you in advance!

It's quite unclear to me what you are after. If you could elaborate a bit I'm sure specific help would become easier.
Since the »article« class is a very basic part of a TeX system, there exists no separate manual or user guide. What would be closest to a manual is in principle every documentation about the LaTeX basics.
You can take a look at the latex-base bundle. Its documentation consists of several guides which cover different topics. I guess that the »Unofficial LaTeX2e Reference Manual« could also be helpful.
