TeXnicCenter, MiKTeX and off-line Package Repository

Post by _Michael_ »

Hello,

I do have a problem combining TeXnicCenter and MiKTeX with a repository of packages which are available off-line. In general, I am able to use TeXnicCenter together with MiKTeX in, let's say, 'default' mode. So no packages like subfigure are used. However, I require these packages. I do have a folder which was given me where there are a lot of the required packages in. So I started MiKTeX Package Manager and synchronized with that folder. The package manager then displays subfigure and other packages. However, when I click on that package and go to Files, it shows a path for subfigure.sty which I cannot find: "texmf\tex\latex\subfigure", and also TeXnicCenter won't 'compile' my document.

Could someone give me a step by step solution?

Unfortunately I do not have internet access on the machine where I want to use latex, so it all has to work with what is on there now (Miktex 2.9, TeXnicCenter 1 RC1 and a repository with files like: subfigure.cab, subfigure.tar.lzma).

Thanks for your help in advance.
