In sub-figure, I saw that the figure usually placed at the top of the suitable new page. With your suggestions, I will look at the cuted package from the sttools bundle.

Is it possible to draw a horizontal line above and below of the abstract?

I think Latex Community forum is the best site learning everything about LaTeX.

This requires a redefinition of the abstract environment. At the moment I have no idea how to do that within this class. Things would become much easier if you would use another class.
